Featuring Torie Henry, voguer and commentator with the legendary House of Balmain, Departure is a short dance film that emerged out of research into the effects of the AIDS epidemic on New York City’s ballroom community from the 1980s to mid-90s. The poignant film traces the experience of one dancer facing loss and mortality on his terms.
