Alisson, 26 years old, came from Lima 6 years ago. She arrived in Buenos Aires to visit her mother, who was settled here, and decided to stay to try to make a living from dance. Using elements from Alisson’s daily life and excerpts from an interview, the episode addresses issues related to uprooting and the ever-present dilemma of staying or returning to the country of origin. The issue is approached through the intersection of contemporary dance and Peruvian dances, particularly the Marinera Norteña.
