A Way to B is a portrait of some of the members from the flamboyant Catalan dance collective Liant La Troca, led by dancer and choreographer Jordi Cortés Molina. The film follows the dancers, who have physical disabilities, as they shape their individual stories into performances. One walks in a steel corset, another is spastic; some performers are in wheelchairs, one has one leg, the other has no legs at all; another one is blind or is losing sight. They dance sensual, exuberant and provocative choreographies in spaces like a theatre, a square, a forest, a living room. The dancers also talk and give us revealing insights into their challenges of everyday existence. Constructed as an autumn day in and around Barcelona, A Way to B offers an unusual look at human resilience and love.
