Tuixén Benet Cosculluela is a choreographer and film director. As a choreographer, with a Degree in Choreography and Acting Techniques from the Institut del Teatre, she was a finalist of the Dance Prize 2018 with her piece Shock Units II. She is the co-creator of the company Les filles Föllen, 2011 New Dance Talent Award from the Professional Dance Association of Catalonia. But her most prolific facet is in the audiovisual field. She choreographed national and international music videos and commercials for artists such as Tame Impala, Polo & Pan, El Guincho and Juanes among others, for which she has been nominated multiple times for the UK Music Video Awards and awarded at Le Club des Directeurs Artistiques 2018. For five years she opened the live shows of Javiera Mena, with a team of dancers in Barcelona, Chile and Mexico.

She directs her own audiovisual works: initiated in the language of music video and focusing her pieces on an increasingly narrative and experimental territory, always keeping body and movement as pillars of her creation. She recently obtained the Master’s Degree of Fine Arts in cinematographic direction at the California Institute of the Arts with her feature film Clausura, which was selected at the 2019 REC Festival in Tarragona and was released in early 2021.

Parallel to her work as director, Tuixén has developed the role as actress in Alex Reynolds’ Spinario and Solution for Sadness filmed with Marc Martínez Jordán. She is also the guitarist and second voice of the music group Les Sueques, they have released three albums and toured Catalonia, Spain and abroad.
